Bagan was founded in A.D 107 by King Thamudarit (one of the Throne from Thayaykhittayar) who ruled from A.D 107-152. Bagan Dynasty lasted for more than 1,000 years (1,213 years) under the rule of fifty-five Kings. Therefore, it is one of the longest dynasties in Myanmar History. Most of the Kings ruled in Bagan Dynasty were religiously built the buildings and monuments to express their heart and belief to Lord Buddha although Buddhism was widely taught to people of Bagan by The Great King Anawrahta - 42nd King of Bagan, founder of 1st Myanmar Empire. The Wise King Anawrahta introduced the Theravada Buddhism to Bagan People after scrutinizing Buddhism with respectable grand monk " Shin Arahan". The principle of Lord Buddha is to become Good True Theravada Buddhist People and to keep systematically in right version.

Ngwe Saung, named by the name of village near the beach, is located in Ayeyarwaddy Division, Pathein Distric. It is long more than 11 miles. Most of the native people are Rakhine Race. Water is transperatly clear and it can see clearly until the floor of sea at the depth of 10-15ft. It is on the western coast of Myanmar on the Bay of Bengal, west of Yangon and a bit south of Ngapali Beach. It has become popular with tourists in just the last one or two decades and the quality of the beach, sand and water is comparable to Ngapali Beach. More hotels are blooming and some are under construction. In past, the beach could be reached only by car (about 5-6 hours drive) from Yangon, or by a tourist ferry that would make an overnight trip (but sometimes the boat would not run if they did not have enough bookings). Now, the new domestic air carrier Air Bagan, has started flying to Pathein on a regular basis.

Inle Lake is located in Southern Shan State. It is called "Venice of East". Inle is famous for floating island which are formed with water weeds and earth. You will see the unique way of rowing using his or her leg power. Floating market which runs on a five-day circle can be seen in the Lake. Many kinds of flowers and fruits are plentiful. Visitors can visit to hand-woven silk & Fabric, traditional shan bag, jewellery such as silverwares and factory and charoot factory. The hight light of the trip to Inle Lake is Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, which enshrines five Buddha Images, Ywama, the largest village on Inle lake. Along the way,  visitors can see the life style of Innthar ( native people of Inle Lake).

Kan Pat Lat is the home town of southern Chin tribes of Dai, Upu, and Ya clan. It's the famous town of the Chin state for its own beautiful scenery of Myanmar. Around its own border there are Saw, Mindat, Paletwa, Setottayar and Minpyar township. Population is also very small compared to other towns. However, this is a very good place to observe the Chin traditional way of life. Kanpatlat is still unspoiled by the modern world. People are still living in the same way hundreds of years ago, even in nearby villages which are not difficult to go. This is also a very nice place to do trekking. Moreover, there is one major tourist attraction in near Kanpetlet. This is Mount Victoria and the Wild Life Reserved. 

Situated in the area of Kanpetlet Township, Mount Victoria is the highest mountain in Chin Hills.

Kyaik Hti Yo

Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda, also known as the Golden Rock Pagoda, is located on top of Kyaikhtiyo Hill at about 3,600 Feet (1,100 meters) above sea level in Mon State. The distance from Yangon via Bago is approximately 130 miles (210 km). The Pagoda was built over a hair relic, more than 2,500 years ago, in the life time of Buddha. Legend has it that the hair relic was given to a hermit by Buddha himself. The hermit treasured the sacred hair in his hair knot until he found a boulder resembling his own head on which he could build a Pagoda to enshrine it. 

Pilgrims used to trek 12 km up Mt Kyaikhtiyo from a base camp at Kinmon which consists largely of guesthouses, places to eat and souvenir shops.

Mandalay, the last Royal Capital of Myanmar Kingdom was founded by King Mindon in 1857. King Mindon is the King who is remembered and honored by his magnificent idea to keep the Buddhist Scripture in stone slabs which remain up to day and known as world's biggest book (Ref. Greenwich World's Record). As per records, King Mindon convened 2400 monks for 6 months to deliberate and agree to get one unique Authorized Version. It took eight years to carve the marble slabs with 5000 Masonry worker. The completion work done of Row after row of white pagodas each contains a marble slabs inscribed on both side the Tripitaka (Buddhist Scriptures).

King Mindon also held the completion ceremony by reading the whole work was read aloud without a Pause.City was founded at the foot of Mandalay Hill where has the legend that Buddha visited and prophesied. 

Mawlamyine

Mawlamyine is the third largest city in Myanmar after Yangon and Mandalay situated 165 kilometers east of the nation's capital across the Gulf of Mottama at the mouth of the Thanlwin river. It is the capital of Mon State with a population of almost 300,000 people. Formerly known as Moulmein, it was once a thriving teak port and the administrative capital of British Lower Burma. 

 

 

Monywar 200

Monywa is a city in central Myanmar and situated on the eastern bank of the Chindwin River, Sagaing division. It is a major trade center for India and Burma.

The name Monywa comes from the word of combination of MON and YWA since"Mon" means "cake or snacks" and "Ywa" means village. So the meaning of MONYWA means that village of snack. The legend which says that in the old days, a Myanmar King fell in love with a seller of cakes from this town and made herhis queen. The original name some says is Mon-thema-ywa or "Village of the woman cake seller". Monywa was a big village during Bagan period.

The classical name for Monywa is Thallawadi.

Des-Myeik

Myeik Archipelago comprises over 800 islands covering an area of 10,000 sq. miles and Andaman Sea of the coast between Myeik (Mergui) and Kawthaung (Victoria Point, covering about 14,000 sq miles). Most of the area remains unexplored and no one steps on some islands. The Myeik Archipelago is located at the southernmost tip of Myanmar. There are regular 1 hour 40 minutes flights from Yangon (Rangoon) to Kawthaung (Victoria Point). Visitors from Thailand could take a 30 minutes boat trips from Ranong (Thai border town) to Kawthaung.

Putao, considered the most important town of the current northern Myanmar and located in Kachin State, is unique, historic and built at the foot of the world's highest mountains (Himalayas). We can get there by air through Mandalay with regular departures by domestic flights.

The ethnic minorities are Yawan and Lisu living for hundreds of years. Putao is called "Hkamti Long", which in the local language of the area means "Great Place of Gold" since it has varieties of plants, especially Black Orchid.

Yangon is the main gateway to Myanmar and the former Capital of Myanmar. It was named by King Alaung Phaya (U Aung Zeya) after he had conquered Dagon in 17th century. It was known as Capital since January 4th, 1948 (Independent Day of Myanmar). Though Nay Pyi Taw becomes the Capital of Myanmar, it still remains as a commercial city. It was founded by King Alaung Phaya on the side of a small village like town called Dagon when he conquered lower Myanmar in 1755. The name of Yangon is "End of enmity and danger". City has beautiful Lakes; Kandawgyi Lake and Inya Lake, one of the world's largest gold gilt sputa - Shwedagon Pagoda, Parks with trees aged more than 3 or 4 decades such as Hlawgar Park.
